Hunter Davis, MPH is a Research Project Manager with the Center on Gender Equity and Health. She supports multiple projects of Dr. Rebecka Lundgren in West, Central, and East Africa. Hunter holds an MPH, with a focus on Health Behavior, from the UNC Gillings School of Global Public Health, and a BS in Health and Exercise Science from Wake Forest University. Hunter comes to GEH from the UNC Chapel Hill Institute for Global Health and Infectious Diseases where she spent two years coordinating global health fellowship programs. Prior to this position, Hunter has also spent time living and working in rural and suburban Ecuador on small-scale community development, qualitative research, and managing healthy lifestyle programs for women and children. Hunter’s research experience is mostly mixed-methods, focusing on the lived experience of type 2 diabetes in Galapagos, Ecuador, COVID-19 Health Behavior trends, and Bioethical training for international Fogarty Global Health Fellows. Hunter is excited to bring her research and project coordination experience to the Center on Gender Equity and Health and the Lundgren Lab. In her free-time, Hunter enjoys running with her Ecuadorian dog, growing her earring collection, and serving on the board of the Chapel Hill Public Library Foundation.
