Research Project Manager

This position will serve as Research Project Manager for multiple research studies focused on gender-based violence, social norms and networks, and evaluations of violence prevention approaches. The majority of this work is currently set in the United States.

Under the supervision of the PI and co-investigators, the Research Project Manager will help manage the implementation of two research projects focused on sexual violence prevention, social norms and networks, and other gender inequities as they relate to gender-based violence in California. Both projects are being conducted in partnership with the California Department of Public Health, CALCASA, local rape crisis centers, and other local organizations across the state. The primary focus of both projects is to conduct rigorous evaluation of sexual violence prevention programs implemented by local rape crisis centers using a variety of data sources. The projects will involve collection and analysis of program participant data and social network data, as well as utilization of existing social media data and other public data sources.

This position will maintain ongoing collaboration and direct communication with PIs, co-investigators, state and local partners, and funders to ensure successful collaborations with partners, adherence to research protocols, and high quality of data. Incumbent will contribute to all parts of research implementation, including evaluation planning, study protocols and data-collection tool development, qualitative and quantitative data collection, data management and analyses, and scientific report and manuscript writing. The incumbent will be responsible for monitoring project deliverables and study implementation, as well as contributing innovative, research-based ideas to improve research protocols. It is expected that the incumbent will author and co-author manuscripts, as well as develop and present presentations at scientific conferences with partners.

Research Project Coordinator

This position will serve as Research Project Coordinator for multiple research studies focused on gender-based violence, social norms and networks, and evaluations of violence prevention approaches. The majority of this work is currently set in the United Sates.

Under the supervision of the Principal Investigator (PI), co-investigators, and the Research Project Manager (PM), the Research Project Coordinator is responsible for the coordination and execution of two research projects focused on sexual violence prevention, social norms and networks, and other gender inequities as they relate to gender-based violence in California. Both projects are being conducted in partnership with the California Department of Public Health, CALCASA, local rape crisis centers, and other local organizations across the state. The primary focus of both projects is to conduct rigorous evaluation of sexual violence prevention programs implemented by local rape crisis centers using a variety of data sources. The projects will involve collection and analysis of program participant data and social network data, as well as utilization of existing social media data and other public data sources.

This position will maintain ongoing collaboration and direct communication with the PI, the PM and other research team members, and state and local partners to ensure successful partnerships, quality implementation of the research, and high fidelity to study protocols. Incumbent will contribute to a wide range of research implementation, including evaluation planning, study protocols and data-collection tool development, qualitative and quantitative data collection, data management and monitoring, and scientific report and manuscript writing. The incumbent will assist in monitoring project data and tracking participants over the course of the study, as well as managing the online data collection platform. It is expected that the incumbent will co-author manuscripts and contribute significantly to project reporting to funders and community partners.
