Vinton received his Bachelor of Science from University of California, Davis in International Agricultural Development and his Master of Public Health at San Diego State University in Health Promotion and Behavioral Science, focusing his thesis on gender equity and health for women in Central Asia. His public health interests are in the Social Determinants of Health, Community Engagement, Infectious Diseases, Food Security, and Global Health.
