Vedavati Patwardhan is a Research Scientist at the Center on Gender Equity and Health at UC San Diego. She holds a Ph.D. in Public Policy & Management from the University of Washington, Seattle, an MA in Global Studies from the University of California, Santa Barbara, and a BA in Economics from Fergusson College, Pune University, India. She is an interdisciplinary and quantitative researcher, with a research focus on women’s economic empowerment, gender disparities in health over the life course, and the evaluation of female-centric policy interventions such as cash transfers in low and middle-income countries.
