Annika is currently pursuing her Ph.D. in Education Studies at UCSD, focusing on the intersection of gender-based violence and child development in low-resource settings. Her research delves into the intricate dynamics of how exposure to intimate partner violence (IPV) within households impacts the developmental outcomes of young children. Her keen interest lies in exploring IPV interventions with the potential to foster positive child outcomes, approached through the lens of maternal empowerment.
