Amanda Beal, MPH, is a Research Project Manager at the Center on Gender Equity and Health (GEH) at the University of California, San Diego. She works with Katherine Hay and Lotus McDougal to support projects focused in multiple geographies across West Africa, East Africa and South Asia. Amanda previously led Bull City Learning’s global health portfolio of digital training projects in DRC, Ethiopia, Kenya, and Nigeria, designing training content, and managing project timelines and budgets in order to produce high-quality training products and deliver impact. Prior to BCL, Amanda spent nearly ten years of her career at the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, working in both programmatic and operational roles as well as supporting the foundation’s investments in India. At the foundation, she led the Vaccine Delivery team’s training and learning body of work and worked cross-functionally to achieve program goals.
