Megan Nguyen, MSPH is a research project coordinator at the Center on Gender Equity and Health. She supports the Social Norms Diagnosis project and Agency for All with the Lundgren lab, under Dr. Rebecka Lundgren and Courtney McLarnon.

Megan received her MSPH from Johns Hopkins University with a concentration in International Health and Social and Behavioral Interventions.

Megan started off in GEH as an undergraduate student at UCSD in the Fielding-Miller lab, leading the analysis of gender-based violence and mental health studies in Eswatini, as well as supporting the implementation of the SASEA pilot project. She returns to GEH from the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, where she spent two years as a Data Manager working with sexual minority women in Baltimore County to explore HIV vulnerabilities and different dimensions of sex work safety. She also worked in Chitwan, Nepal to assess the psychosocial service needs of left-behind mothers and adolescents impacted by labor migration. Megan is excited to carry her interests in gender equity, community engagement, and intersectionality into this coordinating position!

In her free time, Megan loves playing the piano and guitar, reading, crocheting, and finding new places to picnic!
