Shweta is a graduate researcher at the Center on Gender Equity and Health (GEH) and is pursuing a joint doctoral program in Public Health at UCSD/SDSU. Her research interests include women’s social and economic empowerment, gender-based violence and women’s interventions targeted at improving sexual and reproductive health of women and girls. She has also worked with grassroot women self-help groups (SHG) to assess the effect of different SHG models on women’s economic empowerment.
