Annika Li is currently pursuing her Ph.D. in Education Studies at UCSD, focusing on the intersection of gender-based violence and child development in low-resource settings. Her research delves into the intricate dynamics of intergenerational transmission of intimate partner violence and its effects on children and young adolescents. Her keen interest lies in exploring IPV interventions with the potential to foster positive child outcomes, approached through the lens of maternal empowerment. Prior to joining UCSD, she received her MS from Johns Hopkins University with a focus on early development.
